The ex-Manchester United coach was spotted in attendance at De Grolsch Veste as boyhood side FC Twente locked horns against his former club Ajax in a Dutch Eredivisie clash on Sunday. This is the second live match he has attended in Netherlands since exiting Old Trafford last month. Last week, the Dutch manager was spotted at Erve Asito Stadium where he witnessed Heracles Almelo secure a 2-0 victory over NAC Breda.

The 54-year-old was finally shown the door in the final week of October after United suffered their fourth defeat of the 2024-25 campaign in 10 outings against West Ham. Ten Hag had saved his skin by winning the FA Cup in May but could not improve his team in the opening games of this season, which led to his departure from the Premier League side.

Ten Hag received a whopping £17 million (€20m) fee as compensation for getting sacked within three months of him penning a new deal with the club that saw his contract extended until 2026. However, despite getting compensated adequately, he was reportedly left devastated after he was asked to leave.

Within a week of Ten Hag's sacking, United announced Sporting CP boss Ruben Amorim as their new head coach, and he will formally take charge of the club on Monday. His first match in charge, however, will come after the international break as they face Ipswich Town on November 24.
