After more than six months without a club following his release from Nottingham Forest, Lingard joined Seoul in the K-League in early 2024. After a rough start, which involved injuries and being criticised by manager Kim Gi-dong, the 31-year-old has settled in at the South Korean team. Now, he has sent a motivational July message on social media.

Lingard, who turned down the chance to join a host of teams before signing for Seoul, is finding his feet in his new surroundings. He has scored two goals in 12 games as his side sit sixth in the table and are just two places and six points behind Ulsan HD – who sit in the last of the AFC Champions League qualification places.
