The England captain spent several months living in a £10,000-per-night hotel suite when completing his €100m (£86m/$110m) transfer from Tottenham in the summer of 2023. He has now been joined in Germany by his young family, leading to a change of scenery being taken in.

According to , the Kanes have taken up residence at a lavish mansion above the River Isar that boasts a spa, sundeck and sprawling garden that sits on the edge of a forest. The house has previously been occupied by former Bayern stars Mehmet Scholl and Lucas Hernandez.

It has also been revealed that the dwelling provided the backdrop for a 2014 German romantic comedy starring Matthias Schweighofer – who recently appeared in the Christopher Nolan Hollywood blockbuster Oppenheimer. The film in question – which was called Vaterfreuden, or Joy of Fatherhood – features a sperm donor who suffers an accidental vasectomy from a ferret, leading to him tracking down the mother of his only child.

Kane is now looking to write a new chapter in the house’s colourful history, as he chases down major honours and more records at Bayern, and is already making a positive impression on his new neighbours. One of those has told : “He is a very nice man with a lovely family. I have seen him in the street to say hello. I love football so I knew straight away who it was. He was very polite and I wanted to make him feel welcome here.”
