Copa del Rey holders Real Madrid have been drawn against local rivals Atletico in the last 16 of the competition.

The draw for the last 16 of the 2023-24 Copa del Rey has been made and delivered a mouth-watering tie as Real Madrid will take on Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium. Los Blancos are the current holders and will aim to continue the defence of their trophy agains their city rivals. Elsewhere, Barcelona have been drawn against third division side Unionistas de Salamanca.

The draw means the competition will lose one of its biggest hitters before the quarter-final stage. It's not the only all La Liga tie either. Elsewhere, Getafe will take on Sevilla, Osasuna will face Real Sociedad, Valencia play Celta and Athletic Club host Alaves. La Liga high-flyers Girona have been drawn against Rayo Vallecano.
