Speaking to Football Insider, pundit Paul Robinson, a regular on Sky Sports, has reacted to some news out of Tottenham Hotspur involving managing director Fabio Paratici.
The Lowdown: Paratici on Forest mission…
Spurs’ transfer chief, after what was an arguably mixed transfer window, is already at work identifying possible future targets for the club according to reliable reports.

Indeed, according to Lilywhites correspondent Alasdair Gold, speaking on his YouTube channel, the Italian was in attendance for Nottingham Forest’s 4-1 FA Cup win over Leicester City on Sunday to scout both Djed Spence and Brennan Johnson.
The former has been heavily linked with a move to north London over this last month while his teammate Johnson has only been sporadically mentioned.
However, as Paratici gets to work monitoring the Championship duo, Robinson believes he and Spurs are watching two brilliant players.
The Latest: Robinson reacts…
Speaking to FI, the former England international claims that both men are ‘very exciting’ and have a ‘big future ahead’, but admits Spurs will face competition for their signatures.
“Two very exciting young players,” he explained.
“I suspect Spurs will have competition from a lot of clubs.
“I’m sure Paratici was one of many sporting directors, mangers, scouts and recruitment officers at the game watching those two players because they’ve got a big future ahead of them.
“They were both brilliant again at the weekend. It won’t be easy to sign them. There will be a lot of competition in the summer.”
The Verdict: Spence through the door…
While Johnson is a promising player going by his praise from superstar David Beckham, we believe Spence should be the priority of the two.
Currently on loan at the City Ground from Middlesbrough, the 21-year-old has been a pivotal figure in Forest’s promotion push despite his young age, with Sky pundit Jobi McAnuff even calling him ‘massive’.
Spurs boss Antonio Conte’s failure to land a right-wing-back for his system will have certainly left a sour taste in the mouth, but in Spence, the Italian could have a perfect solution for years to come.
The homegrown ace could only cost an estimated £10 million according to some sources and we strongly advise Spurs to get a deal done.
