According to Fernando Esquivel, the Bees are buzzing over Vazquez. Despite having England international Ivan Toney returning to the pitch from suspension in January, they're ready to put pen to paper over a deal for Vazquez. FC Cincinnati are also backing their striker's European ambitions, acknowledging their support of a transatlantic move.

Vazquez played a pivotal role in getting FC Cincinnati to the Eastern Conference semifinals of the playoffs, and helping hand them a 2023 MLS Supporters' Shield. The 25-year-old striker had a breakout year in 2022, just missing out on a roster spot at the Qatar FIFA World Cup. Brentford previously voiced interest in Vazquez, but now, the English Premier League side are set to enter negotiations as speculation about superstar Toney's future continues to circulate.
